Building the Next Generation
Mobility Platform
A Sino–Ethiopian joint venture building a phased electric mobility and energy manufacturing platform — positioning Ethiopia as the regional export hub for East Africa.
A disciplined strategy for industrialization.
EVitality Adaptive Manufacturing PLC is a Sino–Ethiopian joint venture established to develop a phased electric mobility and energy manufacturing platform in Ethiopia.
Our long-term objective is positioning the country as a regional export hub for East Africa. The project adopts a disciplined three-phase industrialization strategy starting with asset-light entry and culminating in a fully integrated industrial ecosystem.
The initial investment begins with USD 150,000 to establish operations, followed by a total planned investment of approximately USD 10 million funded through equity, trade finance, and project financing.

Integrated Model
Vehicle + Energy + Industrial Park — the only fully integrated EV ecosystem in East Africa.
Global Supply Chain
Strong Chinese industrial manufacturing expertise combined with deep local Ethiopian market execution.
Renewable Energy Edge
Ethiopia's ultra-low-cost hydropower (>90% renewable grid) provides unmatched manufacturing cost advantage.
Policy Alignment
Perfectly aligned with national EV policies and ICE import restrictions — creating immediate market opportunity.
Phased Risk Strategy
Disciplined staged investment reduces early-stage financial risk while validating each market segment.
Three-Phase Roadmap
A disciplined development model reducing early-stage financial risk while ensuring rapid adoption and strong economic impact.
Adaptive Assembly
Asset-light market entry with adaptive modular assembly in Bole Lemi SEZ. Rapid penetration of the 2-wheeler and 3-wheeler segment with immediate demand and strong operating cost advantage.
SKD Manufacturing
SKD/CKD manufacturing plant, battery PACK localization, and industrial park development. Transition from vehicle assembler to energy and technology platform.
Industrial Ecosystem
Fully integrated industrial ecosystem including export hub, localized supply chain, circular economy systems, and regional export to the East African Community.
Vehicles & Energy Systems
Target Market Focus
Focusing on high-utilization, income-generating segments ensuring rapid adoption and strong economic impact.
| Market Segment | Current Problem | EV Solution | Why It Converts Fast |
|---|---|---|---|
| Delivery & Courier Riders | High fuel cost, downtime | Electric motorcycles with low cost/km | Immediate income increase |
| Ride-hailing / Bajaj (informal taxi) | Fuel shortages, high OPEX | Electric passenger tricycles | Strong replacement demand |
| Small traders & logistics | Inefficient transport | Cargo tricycles | Lower operating cost |
| Institutional fleets | Maintenance-heavy ICE vehicles | Utility EVs | Predictable operations |
Large-scale Employment Generation
A central pillar of the project is large-scale employment generation and skills transfer aligned with Ethiopia's industrialization agenda.
- ✓Develop Ethiopia's first large-scale EV technical workforce
- ✓Transfer advanced manufacturing and battery technologies
- ✓Support youth employment and urban job creation
| Phase | Direct Jobs | Indirect Jobs | Total Jobs Created |
|---|---|---|---|
| Phase I (2026) | 80–120 | 500–900 | 250–350+ |
| Phase II (2028) | 170–220+ | 600–1,000 | 750–1,200+ |
| Phase III (2029+) | 250–350 | 2,800–4,700+ | 3,500–5,500+ |
Green Economy & Circular Ecosystem
Fully aligned with Ethiopia's green growth and climate resilience strategy, transitioning toward a low-carbon transport system.
